# ADDITIONAL_DOCS

### **PDF Butler – Additional DocConfigs**

The `Additional DocConfigs` Config Type allows you to dynamically append other generated documents to the main document during generation.

PDF Butler generates the additional DocConfigs and combines them with the main document into a single output file.

##### **How It Works**

1. The main document is generated.
2. Additional DocConfigs are retrieved through a Data Source.
3. PDF Butler generates or retrieves those documents.
4. All PDFs are merged together into a single final document.

##### **Important Notes**

- Additional DocConfigs do **not** need to be of type `TEMPLATE`.
- Static PDFs can also be appended.
- If the dynamically added DocConfigs contain Data Sources, those same Data Sources must also exist in the main Doc Config.
