Syncl is a Salesforce implementation partner specializing in delivering tailored Salesforce solutions for customers across industries. As a long-time implementation partner, Syncl helps organizations streamline business processes by combining Salesforce with powerful document automation solutions like PDF Butler.
We sat down with Ahmed Mansouri, Salesforce Consultant at Syncl, to learn how Syncl helped Movendis transform its document processes using PDF Butler. During our conversation, Ahmed shared why they chose PDF Butler, the challenges they needed to solve, and how use of the solution has expanded beyond document generation.
While the initial project started with the Document Generation feature of PDF Butler, Movendis now also uses Document Management (COLLABORATION Butler) for document management and is actively implementing Digital Signature (SIGN Butler) as part of its document automation strategy. The customer also generates both PDF and Excel documents with PDF Butler, making it a central part of their Salesforce document processes.
The Challenge
Movendis is a global manufacturing company operating across multiple countries, with suppliers and customers around the world. Their quoting process involves highly detailed documents containing numerous product tables and sometimes more than 1,000 line items.
Before PDF Butler, Syncl relied on OmniStudio for document generation.
Ahmed explained:
“Since maybe now three years we have used OmniStudio, we have hit a limit with it.”
Why PDF Butler?
When Syncl began looking for another solution, PDF Butler stood out because it could handle complex document structures without the limitations they had experienced before.
As Ahmed described it:
“PDF Butler is easier to use and has no limits to hit, that’s why we chose PDF Butler.”
Another factor was the support experience:
“It’s easy to communicate with the developer and support team to change something or help us with any idea we have.”
Expanding Beyond Document Generation
Although PDF Butler solved the original document generation challenge, the project quickly expanded.
Today, Movendis also uses Document Management (COLLABORATION Butler) to automatically organize documents in SharePoint and is implementing Digital Signature (SIGN Butler).
Ahmed shared:
“Collaboration Butler has really improved how they are looking at the information.”
Before implementing the Document Management solution:
“Movendis had to always download the document and insert it in SharePoint, looking for the right file in the right folder.”
Today:
“If they want to have any information, they just go to Salesforce… They create a quote in CPQ using PDF Butler… which gets directly inserted into the right folder, with the right naming convention.”
Ahmed also mentioned that Syncl is currently implementing additional functionality around Digital Signature (SIGN Butler) as the customer continues to expand its document automation capabilities.
The Results
One of the biggest improvements was performance.
Ahmed explained:
“Before… when the client had a quote with more than 1000 lines… it was sometimes taking more than one minute to show the PDF. Now we can change something with a click on a PDF, and in five seconds maximum after, we have the documents that appears. Even if you have one thousand lines or more!”
Another important benefit was ease of maintenance.
“It’s easy for us to implement, but also easy for the customer to maintain the template.”
He added:
“They can update by themselves if they want to change the logo or if they want to change a date or something.”
Looking Ahead
The success of the Movendis implementation has influenced Syncl’s approach with other customers.
As Ahmed shared:
“When we start implementing PDF Butler in one of our clients, we start to move all other clients to PDF Butler.”
Today, Movendis uses PDF Butler to generate both PDF and Excel documents and Document Management to organize documents automatically in SharePoint and is expanding its implementation with Sign Butler, creating a broader document automation ecosystem inside Salesforce.
