SMS OTP (or One-Time-Password) is incredibly easy to use and provides more proof that the signer is the person you intend, the signer must have their phone close. Via SMS, the signer receives a 6-digit number that can only be used 1 time (only valid to sign a specific document).
Make sure to contact your Account Executive when you want to use SMS OTP!
SMS Opt-In Process for Senders
To comply with the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), SIGN Butler requires that senders obtain from SMS recipients their express consent to receive SMS text messages from SIGN Butler. Senders must collect this consent directly from SMS recipients before sending SIGN Requests that require SMS functionality eg SMS OTP.
Important notice
SIGN Butler will not directly ask for a consent but still senders are required to obtain it. |
