From Vision to Reality

Igor’s journey began with his deep interest in SaaS and its potential to change business processes. Recognizing the complex nature of traditional document generation, he envisioned a solution that could streamline this task, making it more efficient and user-friendly. 

Igor recalls, “I always loved working with software. I saw how much time people wasted on generating documents. I knew there had to be a better way.” 

The Painful Gap in the Market 

While exploring the Salesforce landscape, Igor identified a painful gap in the doc-gen market. Traditional document generation methods were often inefficient, time-consuming, and prone to errors. Businesses needed a reliable, automated solution to handle their document needs seamlessly. Seeing this unfulfilled demand, he was motivated to develop PDF Butler to address these challenges. 

“I noticed that many companies were struggling with documents,” Igor says. “They needed something fast and easy. That’s when I knew we had to build PDF Butler.” 

The A-ha Moment 

Over the past 20 years, Igor built around 14 apps, each addressing a unique problem. However, he never took action to create a company around them. It was his dissatisfaction with the status quo and his drive to create something better that led to the birth of PDF Butler. 

“When I started PDF Butler, I knew it had to be different. The existing solutions were not meeting customer expectations, and there was a lot of pushback,” Igor explains.  

The deeper purpose behind PDF Butler was clear: to provide a robust, scalable, and efficient document generation solution that could seamlessly integrate with Salesforce, significantly reducing the time and effort businesses spent on creating essential documents.

Overcoming Challenges

The path to success was not without its challenges. Igor faced numerous obstacles, from technical hurdles to fierce market competition. As a startup, gaining trust of the market was the biggest obstacle, but Igor’s determination and innovative mindset kept him focused. 

“It wasn’t easy,” Igor admits. “There were many times when things didn’t work out as planned. But we kept going, kept learning, and kept improving.” 

Achieving Success

Igor didn’t want PDF Butler to be just another company in the sector. He asked people around him, “How long does it take you to send a quote to 100 customers?” Then he proposed, “What if we decrease that time? Would you give it a try?” This simple question was how he started convincing people of PDF Butler’s value. 

Through persistent effort and a clear vision, PDF Butler began to gain atraction. Its ability to seamlessly integrate with various platforms and provide a robust solution for document generation made it a preferred choice for many businesses. 

“When we started getting positive feedback, I knew we were on the right track,” says Igor. “It was a great feeling to see businesses benefit from our work.”

When asked about the unique features and capabilities that set PDF Butler apart, Igor highlighted several key aspects: 

  • Speed: I set out to create a solution that could generate documents in under a second. One of our competitors took about 15 seconds for the same task, which I found unacceptable. After six months of development, I achieved document generation in six or seven seconds. But my goal was always under one second, and that’s what we deliver today – 99.95% of documents are generated in under one second. 
  • Innovation: We focus on constant innovation. We are always building and improving our solution to stay ahead and meet the evolving needs of our clients. 
  • Customer Focus: We really listen to our clients. Understanding their needs and incorporating their feedback into our development process is a core part of what makes us unique. 
  • Scalability: Our technology is designed to handle any scale, whether you’re generating one document or a thousand, for one customer or a thousand customers. This scalability is crucial for our clients’ growth and efficiency.
