This month, we’ve rolled out a series of exciting new features and important fixes across PDF Butler, SIGN Butler, FORM Butler, and CONTRACT Butler designed to improve your document generation, digital signing, web forms, and contract management workflows.
Here’s a detailed overview of everything included in the April 2025 releases!
PDF Butler
Current Version: 1.462 (Released)

- New Feature – Generate a PDF from an Excel File:
You can now generate a PDF using an Excel file as a template. Set merge fields directly in your Excel file, and the generated PDF will automatically populate them with Salesforce data. Learn more in the Excel section of our Academy.
- New Feature – Excel Cell Coloring:
We’ve added a new Config Type that allows you to set colors on specific cells within Excel templates. You can easily select colors from the Config Type screen. Full documentation is available in our Academy.
- New Feature – Dynamic Password for PDFs (Single Data Source):
You can now create dynamic passwords to protect generated PDFs, mapped to any field in a Single Data Source. For example, you can create a formula field to generate passwords based on user IDs or other values. This ensures sensitive documents stay protected.
- New Feature – Support for Merged Cells on Repeating Sheets:
When generating Excel files, merged cells are now fully supported across repeated sheets.
- New Feature – Support for Centered Cells on Repeating Sheets:
Centered formatting in Excel templates will now be retained across repeated sheets.
- New Feature – Support for ISO Date Format in Excel:
Generated Excel files now support ISO standard date formatting.
- New Feature – Include Merge Fields in Sheet Names:
You can now map merge fields from sheet names within the Doc Config for better control and dynamic naming.
- Fix – Prevent Duplicated Images in Excel:
We fixed an issue where images were duplicated across multiple sheets when generating Excel files.
SIGN Butler V2
Current Version: 1.249 (Released)
Release Date: 30/04/2025
- New Feature – Dashboard for Sign Butler V2:
A new add-on is available, providing a Dashboard with basic signing statistics. Contact your Account Manager to receive the add-on package.
- Fix – Reassign Sign Request:
We fixed issues with reassigning sign requests. This functionality now works as expected.
- Fix – Mobile UI Improvements:
We made multiple improvements to the user interface on mobile devices, enhancing zoom and layout for phones and iPads, including support for older iPads running OS v16 and newer.
FORM Butler
Current Version: 1.178 (Released)
Release Date: 07/05/2025
- Feature – Support for Hint Text Translations in Web Forms:
Now supports translations for Hint text on each form field via the Translation Data Source.
- Fix – Web Form Components:
We deployed multiple fixes across web form components (radio buttons, checkboxes, transient fields, etc.). Please contact Support or your Account Manager to request the latest package version.
CONTRACT Butler
Current Version: 1.5 (Released)
Release Date: 01/05/2025
- Feature – Clause Library:
You can now create clauses with nested sub-clauses and insert the complete structure into agreements.
- Feature – Auto-save Mode:
Agreements now automatically save all changes without requiring manual saves.
- Fix – UI Improvements:
Multiple fixes have been released to improve the user interface and overall user experience.
