We’re kicking off 2025 with a set of powerful updates across our products! From improving accessibility in PDFs to streamlining e-invoicing and enhancing web form functionality, this month’s release is packed with improvements to optimize your document automation experience.
Let’s take a look at what’s new in PDF Butler, SIGN Butler, and FORM Butler.
📄 PDF Butler Updates
Version: V 1.444 | Release Date: 23/01/2025
- Feature – Accessible PDFs: PDF Butler now fully supports Accessible PDFs, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. Alt text on images and other accessibility settings from the template are now carried over to the final document. Simply enable this feature in the Doc Config Page.
- Fix – E-Invoicing Enhancements: We’ve improved error messages in E-Invoicing Doc Configs to provide clearer alerts before document generation if any error exists.
- Feature – E-Invoicing Credit Notes: Now we also support Credit Notes on our E-invoices, you can generate one by changing the XML code of the file through a flow.
- Feature – Excel Improvements : Now we now support the “Repeat Header” feature for generated Excel files, ensuring better formatting in reports and spreadsheets.
🖊 SIGN Butler V2 Updates
Version: V 1.237 | Release Date: 10/01/2025
- Feature – Phone Number in Audit Trail & Certificate of Completion: The signer’s phone number (if signing via SMS OTP) is now recorded in the audit trail and Certificate of Completion.
- Feature – Sign Request ID on Every Page: To enhance compliance, every document now displays the Sign Request ID. This ID will be printed on every page of the document.
- Fix – Conditional Form Fields: We’ve fixed issues related to duplicate field names in documents, ensuring smooth functionality for forms. No action is required from users.
📑 FORM Butler Updates
Version: V 1.69 | Release Date: 14/01/2025
- Feature – Web Forms – File Uploads: Users can now upload files in web forms. Read the setup guide here.
- Feature – Web Forms – Save Warning: A new warning message prevents accidental loss of work when closing the FORM Builder without saving.
- Feature – Web Forms – Bulk Creation – Now supports batch job creation and management for improved efficiency.
- Feature – Web Forms – Support Expression Component for Operations: Now we have a new component that allows the use of math operations combining dynamic values that can be inserted by the customer with values coming from SFDC. So, if you are creating a basic quote with data coming from SFDC and quantities required by a customer, you can show the final amount on the same FORM.
- Feature – Web Forms – Support Email Component: Now we have a dedicated component that validates if the user typed a valid email account and not some random text. More specific fields will be introduced in the next releases.
- Fix – Web Forms – Builder Validation: Prevents schema corruption by enforcing unique API names for form fields. Users will now see an error message if there’s a duplicate key. It is important to update the package to the latest version.
