FAQ – How to Register CONTRACT Butler #

Before configuring CONTRACT Butler, ensure that the package is already installed in your Salesforce org and that you have the required Salesforce administrator permissions.

Install and Set Up CONTRACT Butler #

Follow the official CONTRACT Butler installation and setup guide:

1. Access Permission Sets in Salesforce #

1. Log in to Salesforce.
2. Click Setup.

3. In the Quick Find box, type:
   Permission Sets

4. Under Users, select Permission Sets.

2. Clone the CONTRACT Butler Admin Permission Sets #

In the list of available Permission Sets:

1. Locate:
   • CONTRACT Butler Admin
   • CONTRACT Butler User
2. Open CONTRACT Butler Admin.
3. Click Clone.
4. Update:
   • Label
   • API Name

Example:

• Label: CONTRACT Butler Admin Local
• API Name: CONTRACT_Butler_Admin_Local

Save the new permission set.

Clone CONTRACT Butler User #

1. Open CONTRACT Butler User.
2. Click Clone.
3. Update:
   • Label
   • API Name

Example:

• Label: CONTRACT Butler User Local
• API Name: CONTRACT_Butler_User_Local

4. Save the new permission set.

3. Configure Object Access #

The cloned permission sets must have access to the source object used by CONTRACT Butler.

Add Object Permissions #

1. Open the cloned permission set.
2. Go to Object Settings.
3. Select the source object required for your business process.

Examples:

• Opportunity
• Account
• Custom Objects

4. Configure the required permissions:
   • Read
   • Create
   • Edit
   • Delete (if applicable)
5. Save the changes.

Repeat these steps for both:

• Admin Permission Set
• User Permission Set

4. Assign Permission Sets to Users #

1. Open the permission set.
2. Click Manage Assignments.
3. Click Add Assignments.
4. Select the users that should receive access.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Assign.

Repeat for both:

• CONTRACT Butler Admin Local
• CONTRACT Butler User Local

5. Start Using CONTRACT Butler #

Once configuration is complete:

1. Open the CONTRACT Butler app.
2. Begin configuring your contract process.

You can now:

• Create Agreement Templates
• Configure Approval Processes
• Create Contracts
• Approve Contracts
• Integrate CONTRACT Butler into your business workflows
