Contract Butler includes a collection of Salesforce reports and dashboards that provide visibility into contracts, templates, obligations, and related activities. These reports help administrators and business users monitor contract activity, track obligations, and analyze contract performance across the organization.
Accessing Reports #
To view existing reports or create new ones:
- Open the App Launcher.
- Search for Reports.
- Select Reports.
All Contract Butler reports are stored in the Public Reports folder.
Reports have the following settings:
- All Contracts and Templates (report Contract Instances by record types)

Dashboards #
Contract Butler includes a dashboard named Negotiation Butler, available from the Dashboards tab.
The dashboard provides an overview of contract activity by displaying data from the standard reports included with Contract Butler.
The dashboard includes the following components:
- All Contracts and Templates in the org.
- All Contract Instances grouped by month.
- All Contract Instances grouped by status.
- Contracts and Templates created by the dashboard viewer.
- Contract Instances created by the dashboard viewer and grouped by month.
- All Obligations related to the dashboard viewer’s contract instances.
- Obligations assigned to the dashboard viewer.
- Open tasks related to obligations assigned to the dashboard viewer.
- These dashboard components allow users to quickly monitor contract activity, outstanding obligations, and overall contract progress.
To allow other users to access the dashboard, the dashboard folder must be shared.
Share a Dashboard Folder #
- Open the App Launcher.
- Search for Dashboards.
- Open the Dashboards tab.
- Locate the folder that contains the dashboard (for example, Created by Me).
- Click the More Actions (▼) menu next to the folder.
- Select Share.
- In the Share Folder window, select the appropriate Share With option:
- User
- Role
- Role and Subordinates
- Public Group
- In the Names field, search for and select the user, role, or group you want to grant access to.
- Choose the appropriate Access Level (Viewer, Editor, or Manager).
- Click Share.
- Verify that the new entry appears under Who Can Access.
- Click Done.
Users with whom the folder has been shared will now be able to access the reports and dashboards contained within it.
